Project Description

Is a playful pedagogical model that seeks to improve quality education and strengthening the thinking and reasoning processes of children. It aims at fostering and improving the learning skills of children by developing their logical thinking.

Justification

It is important that children develop their cognitive thinking in order to facilitate their learning at school. Helping them to develop their logical thinking will make easier their learning of mathematics, reading and writing. It is important to motivate them in their learning process to avoid drop-out, delay and repetition.

Methodology

It is a project that consists of two phases. It begins with the development of materials, methodologies and learning strategies and then it focuses on the implementation of these products which include games, video games and software that allows follow-up and evaluation of the cognitive processes.

  •  BASIC PEDAGOGIC COMPETENCIES FOR TEACHERS: Teachers training on the products. The trainings are carried out during the workshops and study groups which are focused on the games handbooks. The purpose is to train teachers in new learning strategies.   
  •  COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT FOR CHILDREN: Implementation of new learning strategies (JAP and PARE) aimed at strengthening the basic thinking processes: attention, memory, induction, deduction, classification, categorization, correspondence, interference and interpersonal, spatial, physic, mechanic and mathematical logical reasoning. There is also an innovative component based on a software.
  • BASIC COMPETENCIES FOR FAMILY ACCOMPANIMENT: Parents training on the games handbooks to implement them at home.
